Meet Our Team

Gabrielle Johnson director, singing/guitar teacher, choir leader
Gabrielle started singing and playing guitar with her musical family at Maroubra Bay Parish from 9 years old. Under the watchful eye of her dynamic mum, she accompanied church choirs and musical groups during her high school years and also taught guitar to primary school children as a part-time job. After a career in graphic design, she returned to teaching in 2007 by volunteering to run the choir at her daughter's primary school and as a result formed her own music school - Gabrielle Johnson Music shortly afterwards.  She holds a Professional Certificate in General Music Studies from Berklee College of Music in the US and is extremely passionate about music education.
 Jim Wilson specialist guitar teacher
Jim has recently joined our teaching team and is proving to be a great asset with his laid back, friendly manner, his sense of humour and his love of blues and rock. He has played guitar for over 40 years and brings with him a wealth of performance knowledge as both a player and a sound engineer - a great asset for our performances! Jim is super keen to share his extensive knowledge of left and right hand guitar technique with our students.
Lily Lindsay  student guitar and singing teacher
Currently in Year 12 at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) High School, Lily is a gifted musician who comes from a very talented professional musical family. She joined our teaching team in 2017 assisting me with our young guitarists and singers. Lily takes everything in her stride and is a very competent guitarist and singer.  She has a natural teaching ability and our students warmed very quickly to her to gentle and caring nature - not to mention her amazing vocal ability and super cool vibe!
